When your sink gets blocked and the water builds up, do you leave it or do you take action? Many people swallow their feelings, and hold on to them in their body, this in turn causes energy blocks, the more this is done the more blocks occur and the more a person can feel drained of energy and fall ill. When you know you need to take action to unblock your sink then it makes sense to also take action to unblock your energy so it can flow freely. This is where Reiki will be an effective treatment for you.

Reiki is pronounced as Ray-Key, it is a word derived from Japan meaning Universal Life Energy. Eastern medicine has always recognised and worked with this energy, which flows through all living things and is vital to our well-being. Reiki is a non-invasive therapy; the purpose is to treat the whole body holistically and to restore balance, enabling the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It is effective on all levels, the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Reiki accelerates the healing of physical problems, balances the emotions, and frees us from restrictive mental attitudes. It encourages and supports positive personal change, which allows us to respond more calmly to all events, and build on a more resourceful state of being. Reiki can be used with confidence alongside conventional medication or natural remedies.

What happens during a Reiki session?

During a Reiki session, time will be spent explaining a bit more about Reiki and how it works; my treatment room is a comfortable and peaceful environment where you can feel safe and relaxed.  Reiki may be felt as a flow of energy, mild tingling, warmth or coolness; you will automatically draw the energy to where it is needed. The effect on your body will be deeply relaxing and calming.

Once the treatment is over I will give you a Unique Advance Energy Analysis read out; This is a chart showing you if there are any blocks and explaining where and why this is. With this information I will be able to advise you on how to move forward using a mixture of the most up to date life changing remedies/techniques including NLP, TFT and The Havening technique.

After each session, changes take place as blocks will clear, you will be able to see this on your Advance Energy Analysis chat as we track your progress through your treatments.

It is important to drink plenty of water after a treatment, as the body detoxifies and heals. Be aware of your body’s needs after a session if you feel tired then you should rest, if you are feeling full of energy do something you have been putting off. Be prepared and get excited as a change is taking place.

How many sessions are needed?

With the way I work, it usually takes between 4 to 6 sessions to clear the energy completely. However it is really important to feel safe and happy with the treatment, this is change work and as such it is a journey we both embark upon together. If for any reason you are not happy with your first session there is no obligation to book another one. It is more important to me for you to be with the right therapist. This is about your success.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

“If you keep doing what you have always done, then you will keep getting the same results”

If someone was a good Golfer and you wanted to play golf like them, what would you do? You could find out what they did that made them a good Golfer; for example, how do they stand, how do they hold their golf club, what are they saying to themselves? By finding out the answers to these questions and more, you would have a good model of how to improve your golf. You could do the same for driving skills, selling skills, skiing, giving speeches, in fact just about any skill.

The process of finding out what someone does, and then passing on those skills to someone else, is called modelling. NLP is modelling excellence. You already have the most powerful tool known to man – the human mind. However it didn’t come with a user’s manual, so the chances are that you don’t yet use your mind to its full potential. If you think in terms of the brain being a computer and our thoughts and actions being the software programmes, then NLP is a kind of software manual.

Essentially, by gaining an understanding of how we create and maintain our inner thoughts and feelings when we have a problem, it is possible then to change them to new thoughts and feelings that have a more positive effect on our lives. Neuro-Linguistic Programming really describes the three components involved in producing what we call the human experience:

Neurology, Language and Programming.

N = Neuro relates to the nervous system, the brain and the five senses

L = Linguistic refer to the verbal and non-verbal communications we use

P = Programming relates to Carrying out a planned sequence of actions to get a pre-planned result

NLP was co-created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the 1970’s. It was based on the subjective study of language, communication and personal change, in particular through modeling three very effective and successful psychotherapists, Fritz Perls (Gestalt Therapy), Virginia Satir (Family Systems Therapy), and eventually Milton Erickson (Clinical Hypnosis). Bandler and Grinder aimed to discover and model the successful patterns of behaviour and communication, distinguishing these exceptional individuals.

NLP is now used internationally by millions of people throughout the world in such diverse fields as Therapy, Personal Development, Sport, Management, Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Education, the Military and the Police.

What will happen during a session?

During an NLP session it is important to know what you want, and to elicit your desired outcome, e.g. be free of your phobia, to feel confident, lose weight etc… When working with the outcome we work with three basic elements.

  • Present situation, “Where are you now?”
  • Desired situation, “Where do you want to be?”
  • The strategy, how do you get from one to the other using the resources you already have or creating new ones?

Through using a range of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques it is possible to make significant changes to any area of your life that needs the change and this can often be achieved quickly.

Hypnosis is a bit like a state of trance. We are in and out of trance every day, even passing into ordinary sleep involves a kind of trance state.Take when you drive to work, do you always remember the journey? Hypnosis is neither asleep nor awake it’s a little like daydreaming, with a feeling of deep relaxation.

Hypnosis is a different state of consciousness, which you can naturally enter into so that beneficial suggestions may be given directly to your unconscious mind. You will still have awareness and will be able to hear everything I say. It is a fact that no one can be hypnotised against their will and even when hypnotised a person can still reject suggestions. Therefore hypnosis is a state of purposeful co-operation.

It is estimated that 85% of people will respond to hypnosis at some level. It may even succeed where other more conventional methods of treatment have not produced the desired results. The results can be long lasting and usually permanent. It is natural and safe with no harmful side effects. I use hypnosis along side my other treatments, if hypnosis is used in one of your sessions it will be specifically tailored to your needs to address your issues.

A phobia can cause misery and suffering with its crippling effects. When faced with your fear do you experience increased heart rate, trembling, faintness, dizziness, nausea, palpitations, excessive sweating, and dry mouth? Do you lose the ability to speak or think clearly and suffer with panic attacks? You are not alone.

Surveys have show that 60% of people have been affected by a phobia at some stage in their life. Human beings were born with only two instinctive fears, the fear of falling and the fear of sudden loud noises. You were not born with your fear, you just learned how to have it.

The problem with a phobic reaction is that it is overwhelming. It catches your attention so powerfully that you don’t actually see the reality of the situation, only the feeling of fear. When I remove your phobia you will be able to see things, as they really are. A phobia is a one-time learning from a particular event from your past. So the good news is if you learn how to do something, it follows that you can unlearn it.
